PARENTAL KIDNAPPING ACT (PKA)
Commonly known as PKA, this federal Act prevents removing children into another state from a jurisdiction where they properly belong. See Custody, Hague Convention, UCCJEA.
PATERNITY
The determination with a great degree of certainty through DNA testing that a particular male is the father of a child.
PENNSYLVANIA
There are sixty-seven (67) counties in Pennsylvania, many of which have their own rules. The trial court level is known as a Court of Common Pleas. .
PENSIONS
A pension is a qualified retirement plan under ERISA. This plan can be a profit-sharing plan, a 401(k) plan, a defined benefit plan or a defined contribution plan. IRA's and SEP-IRA's are included. That portion of a pension acquired during marriage is marital property.

A private school is an alternative to a public school. A private school may be a parochial school. The decision to send children to private school is an issue for support.
