MARITAL PROPERTY
All property acquired during marriage is presumed to be marital property. In some states, the appreciated value of pre-marital property is also considered marital. Most states hold that property acquired after separation is non-marital.
MEDIATION
A process conducted by a trained individual to reach an amicable resolution of disputed issues with the parties without the need of litigation.
